TBT - I feel this piece represents the true beginning of my journey as an artist, even though I had been making art off and on for many years. I painted it in June of 2015, and at the time had been meditating daily to open my chakras. I had gone through an intense and painful transformation at the time, and decided to rediscover and commit myself to my exploration of art and self. I sold the original to a woman who owned a yoga and energy healing studio in Ashland, OR in 2017. I have dedicated many hours since then developing my craft, but I still look back at this piece as being a successful one and skillfully made.

As part of my zoom wedding we had a prize raffle! It was so much fun and a great way to engage the guests during this social distanced gathering. One of the prizes was an 8x10" original painting commission! The winners chose to have their portrait made as the classic painting, American Gothic and swapped out the pitchfork for their cat. It was a really fun study! Congrats you two! 💖💖💖
