Last week I got to paint this exquisite cat with 2 different colored eyes! 😍
He was commissioned as a gift for someone who just lost her cat and was received with tears and gratitude, the most validating reaction I can receive as an artist. May you find peace and stillness during these stressful times and cherish the loves that we have in this life.

On the easel right now, my sweet departed grandmother. Portraiture has been a growing fascination of mine because there is a very tangible moment where it feels as if the spirit of the subject enters the painting. It's humbling and feels so much larger than myself. I miss my Nanny so very much and having her on a canvas is so comforting, it's as if she's really here.
